Deck The Halls!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We finally broke out the Christams decorations and the Scherer household is now officially decked out for the season. Gavin was glad to have his Christmas music and the infamous Christmas Moose out of hibernation in the attic.

Natalie is mesmerized by the tree. She's getting bolder when it comes to scooting around and investigating the house...we hope the tree will make it to Christmas without being pulled over.

The stockings are up...

Gavin and I baked and decorated Christmas cookes last week and, of course, we made an awesome mess in the kitchen. Gavin even had icing in his hair! By the time we were done, I think we had already eaten half of the cookies.

Gavin wrote a letter to Santa (well, Gavin dictated the letter and Mommy wrote it...). We addressed it, stamped it, and Gavin sealed the envelope. Our initial plan was to mail the letter to the North Pole, but Gavin had a better idea...

On Sunday, we took the kids to visit Santa. Gavin was so excited to give Santa his letter, and clutched it in his hand anxiously the whole way from home to Santa's lap. Thank goodness Santa was very nice this year. He opened Gavin's letter and they read it together. Note: Gavin's letter is on Santa's chair in the picture!
