Due to the low census, I got another rare half-day at home a few weeks ago. We packed up and headed downtown to the long awaited "Lego Castle Adventure" exhibit at the Children's Museum. It seemed like forever since we had been to the museum, and Natalie was finally old enough to enjoy a little more of the surroundings. Here are some pictures of our Lego Adventure... (note:
everything is made out of Legos...Chet wishes he had that job)
The Prince & Princess posed for a picture on the throne

A
huge lego portrait. Tedious.

Natalie was a little leary of the big Lego Knight

Uh-Oh. Gavin found the dungeon!

Here's Gavin posing with the biggest Lego Dragon...ummm...ever. How many Legos were in that beast? The treasure's fancy, too.

Gavin helping me learn to joust...loved this costume.

Natalie loved the little recliners they had in the reading area. She sat in these chairs for at least 20 minutes, petted them, and paged through the dragon touch-and-feel books.

We also peeked into the comic book exhibit. We saw the Batmobile and more comic book paraphenalia than any boy could wish for all in one room. Superhero overload.
All in all, it was a great trip. Natalie took her first real Carousel ride, although the pictures didn't turn out. Although she's usually frightened of anything loud (or fun, really), she loved it! Thank goodness we renewed our membership, as I'm thinking this museum may save my life this summer when the three of us have nothing to do all week long...
