Finally A Night Out

Although I had to work on Valentine's Day (and the day after), Chet and I were actually able to get a few hours to ourselves on Friday. WOW. The two of us hadn't gotten out alone in...ummm...yup, don't really remember. But this week, we were blessed with a babysitter and snuck away to Broad Ripple for some drinks. We found a not-so-crowded bar, got some great bar food, and played some pool. My game was a little rusty (it's been at least 6 or 8 years, here), but at least it gave us a few laughs. The sad part was that we had an awesome time it felt like we stayed out late! We were home before 9pm!!! Are we getting old? Losing our stamina? Either way, it was later than we could remember being out in ages and was a perfect Valentine's date. To make it even sweeter, both of the kids were actually asleep when we got home. Maybe we'll luck out and do it again next year.
